Ian's Words of Wisdom

As this year comes to an end, we look back and think where did the time go? It's hard to sit back and think of any positive outcomes for us all. One major positive that stands out has been the lowest interest rates we, or our parents, have ever lived through. Yes, times have been hard and the majority of business owners we have talked to have suffered reduced levels of income but I am sure we are all stronger moving forward to a New Year that appears to be heading back into normal trading times. Whilst the media continues to sensationalise, borrowing money for property purchases is still, and will continue to be, cheap. Currently rates for property purchases start below 6%. That means if the RBA should raise rates 0.25% for each quarter in 2010, rates will still be below 7%. Property prices have leveled off but are predicted to incur solid growth over the next 3 years, possibly even higher in the $300,000 to $600,000 price range.

As Australians, we have always proven ourselves to be resilient and have a reputation for getting up and having a go. After all, we live in paradise. It will be this attitude that will see us come through this time and prosper.

I would like to thank you all for continuing to do business with Fraser Financial Services. Next year sees us turn 13, and many of you have been with us from the start. Myself, Kelly, Steve, Jeff and Debbie would like to wish you all a very Merry Xmas and Safe, Healthy and Wealthy New Year where your dreams become reality.
